Our technology is revolutionizing the carbon storage industry by offering a highly efficient process that not only significantly reduces operating costs but also has the potential to generate positive revenue and even profits under certain conditions. Specifically designed for deployment in deep-saline aquifers, in order to extract residual methane and geothermal power, all while securely storing carbon dioxide - indefinitely.


Here's what sets our technology apart:


1) Energy self-sufficiency: Our process generates energy through two distinct mechanisms. Firstly, by bringing the brine to the surface we extract geothermal energy from the heat of the brine. Secondly, we inject CO2 directly into the brine in a highly controlled manner which, at the same time, releases material quantities of methane. These two energy sources can be used to offset (even creating a positive energy balance) the power consumption demands of the entire process. This self-sufficiency mitigates the high operating costs typically associated with traditional CCS processes.


2) Predictable subsurface conditions: Our process eliminates the complexities of two-phase flow and near-supercritical CO2 injection, minimizing the risk of CO2 separation and migration underground. This simplifies sub-surface pressure monitoring and helps prevent fractures or potential earthquakes, ensuring safer and more predictable operations.


3) Rare-earth extraction: As an added benefit, our technology can be adapted to extract lithium and other rare-earth elements dissolved in the brine, further enhancing its value and sustainability.
